About RCCG, The Promised Land

The Promised Land was inaugurated in May 2001, as a fully-fledged parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
The real vision that the Lord gave was to help people to discover their destiny and live victoriously, in spirit, soul and body. (This is prosperity in every realm of mankind).
Welcome therefore to a spiritual world, where the hurt, the dying, the frustrated, the confused are all accepted with love, warmth and appreciation, and helped to find hope, encouragement and guidance to fulfil their destiny in excellence, thereby raising people who are achievers.

We are dedicated to IMPART lives, REPOSITION for greatness, INFLUENCE and create STABILITY. Through us and in us, God is doing something new, something fresh and something powerful to turn our life around.

This is what the church aims at in various areas of life for its members, including the spiritual, physical, relationship and financial areas of people’s lives. This will in turn help to fulfil the God-given destiny of members of the church.

Vision

Our Vision is to be a multi-racial and multi-cultural church of significance in North London where our members will be from different nationalities and ethnic groups around the world to worship God with oneness of mind and love.

· Church where the hurting, dying world can find acceptance, love, warmth.

· Word of God to be taught and preached with simplicity.

· Disciple people to nurture and equip believers for the work of the ministry, and helping them to develop their gifts and potentials

· Cultivate a spirit of excellence to encourage good stewardship

· Building of good relationships to develop integral and competent leaders.

· Youth church where teenagers can grow in the knowledge of God and live their lives to please God without being influenced negatively by peers to do what is contrary to the will of God for their lives. This will help to shape their lives in a godly way and prepare them for a God-pleasing adulthood

Statement of Faith

The Bible is the fully inspired Word of God. Its sixty-six books form our only standard of faith and practice.
There is only one God who eternally manifests Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
That man was created by God in His image but mankind’s disobedience has separated him from God. Man cannot save himself but must receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ and become a new person in Christ.
In a literal heaven and hell, those who receive Jesus and walk with Him will spend eternity in heaven. Those who reject Jesus will be lost forever in hell.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with other tongues is for every believer.
That God has provided for healing of bodies and minds and it is the privilege of all believers.
That the Lord Jesus Christ should be the Lord in every area of our lives.
That the Holy Spirit commands and enables Christians to live pure and holy lives.
That Jesus will return from heaven where He now sits as King and Lord of all to take the true Church back to heaven with Him.
That God has all of the events of this world in full control and that one day every knee will bow to Him.
